Fleet expansion: Two new electric trucks from Renault Trucks

Since the beginning of March 2024, we have been using three fully electric tractor units from Volvo Trucks in the Port of Hamburg for our customers, enabling emission-free container transport in the pre-carriage and onward carriage. Due to high demand, we have expanded our fleet with two additional fully electric tractor units from Renault Trucks.

Renault Trucks, as a subsidiary of Volvo Trucks, uses the proven and field-tested technology of its parent company. In addition, Renault Trucks has an independent development and service department that has developed an aerodynamically optimized, fully electric version based on the diesel tractor unit. The improvements include an optimized front that enables better aerodynamics.

The handover of the two new vehicles took place at the Volvo Truck Center Hamburg. As part of the handover process, our drivers received a detailed initial briefing and a presentation. In addition, further training was carried out directly at our location by the “Efficiency Specialist E-Tech”. These training courses were aimed not only at the drivers but also at our dispatch and fleet management. The aim was to understand the monthly evaluations of the vehicles and to make their use even more efficient.
